History of Law. This module provides a chronological overview of legal evolution from Romanisation to the nineteenth century, analysing the historical foundations of Law within European and Hispanic societies. It enables students to understand the development of legal institutions, sources of law and codification processes that gave rise to modern law. Students will develop a critical and interdisciplinary perspective on the transformation of legal systems and their influence on the construction of the contemporary rule of law.

Constitutional Law I. This module introduces students to the foundations of the Spanish legal and constitutional system, examining the 1978 Constitution as the supreme legal norm and the framework of democratic governance. Through the study of the Social and Democratic State governed by the rule of law, its structural principles and the institutional organisation of the State, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the sources of law, fundamental rights and public freedoms, recognising their role in shaping the devolved State structure and Spain’s integration within the European Union.

Roman Law. This module examines the legal foundations of Roman civilisation as the basis of the European legal tradition and its influence on Spanish and Catalan Civil Law. Theory of Law. This module provides an in-depth understanding of the legal phenomenon and the functioning of contemporary legal systems. Through the study of the fundamental concepts of law —such as norm, validity, sanction, duty and justice— students develop the ability to critically analyse the structure, sources and application of legal rules. Legal Informatics. This module introduces students to the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) within the legal field. It enables an understanding of how the Internet operates, as well as the management and protection of personal data, anonymisation and cybersecurity in digital communications. In addition, students learn how to conduct efficient legal research, use legal databases and office software tools, and interact securely with electronic public administration services. The aim is to equip students with the skills required to operate confidently in a digital legal environment characterised by ongoing technological transformation.

Civil Law I. This module examines the foundations of Private Law and the legal relationships arising in everyday life, focusing on the individual as the holder of rights and obligations. It analyses the sources of law, the effectiveness of legal rules, the role of time in Civil Law and the regulation of legal personality —from birth to extinction— as well as legal capacity, personality rights and legal persons. Its purpose is to provide students with a comprehensive perspective that enables them to interpret, reason and apply the principles of Civil Law accurately to real-life situations.

Constitutional Law II. This module provides an in-depth study of the constitutional organisation of the Spanish State, analysing the principal organs of public authority and the devolved State structure. Through the examination of the Crown, the Cortes Generales (Parliament), the Government, the Judiciary and the Constitutional Court, students gain an understanding of their structure, functions and institutional relationships. The module also explores the distribution of powers and territorial framework of the Autonomous Communities, enabling students to understand the functioning of the Social and Democratic State governed by the rule of law and the principles of unity, autonomy, solidarity and cooperation on which it is founded.
